Texas Advocates for Senior Care (TASC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt volunteer organization working tirelessly to improve the quality of life and care of Texas nursing home residents. As an organization, it is the mission of TASC to make a positive difference in the lives of those who cannot live independently without assistance, whether they are in a nursing home. assisted living center, or in a private home. Anywhere personal care is provided, we advocate for their care, their social welfare, and their environmental conditions.
We also provide educational programs to help families, residents, and potential residents understand their options, their rights, and how to ensure quality care. Our legislative experts monitor pending legislation, participate in rule-making sessions after legislation is passed, and work to improve enforcement.
We can only continue this mission with your help!
TASC is funded only through contributions. This enable us to be completely independent and focus solely on the needs of our clients. All our advocacy services are free. We can continue to remain apart from any governmental or corporate concerns and operate without constraint only with your help.
We need volunteers all over the state of Texas! Our volunteers are the heart and soul of TASC. Training is provided, and you will be supported every step of the way.
Here are some areas where you can make a difference in the lives of our frail, elderly & disabled citizens:
- Serve as an advocate in your area.
- Serve as an instructor for advocates.
- Help monitor and analyze legislation.
